Former American football star OJ Simpson says his controversial book about his wife's grisly death - If I Did It - is pure fiction.

The original publisher pulped all copies but one last year, but Newsweek magazine has obtained the key chapter, entitled "The Night In Question".

In it, Simpson details confronting Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman before flying into a rage.

Simpson says it was the largely the work of a ghost writer, and he's "absolutely 100% not guilty".
