The US remembers the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, 12 months on.


It's been a year since a combination of nature's fury and human incompetence brought down one of America's great cities.

When Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, hundreds of people were killed, and hundreds of thousands left homeless and destitute.

Anger was directed at the United States government for failing to respond quickly and effectively.

Many are reliving the anger, twelve months later.
