'Positive drug test results' for Jamaican athletes
Updated on 24 July 2009
The International Association of Athletics Federations, IAAF, has confirmed to Channel 4 News that members of the Jamaican national athletics team have tested positive for drugs. Girish Juneja reports.

It would not say how many athletes were involved and it stressed that only preliminary tests had been carried out.
The IAAF told Channel 4 News, "We have received some positive tests from JADCO (Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission).
"We cannot confirm any numbers or, in fact, any more details other than to say that they were as a result of A-sample testing.''
Their comments to Channel4 News follow reports that five member of Jamaica's 46-member team to next month's 12th IAAF World Championships in Berlin returned positive tests.
The testing procedure is in the hands of the newly formed Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO).
Some members of the national team are currently in London in an individual capacity competing in Britain's showpiece athletics event, the Aviva London Grand Prix, which is taking place tonight at Crystal Palace.
