19 hurt in attack near Nato base

A suicide car bomber attempting to strike an international military convoy on the outskirts of Kabul has wounded at least 19 people, including nine Nato service members.
Nato said the bombing occurred on the Jalalabad road, which is used extensively by international forces and is frequently attacked.
The alliance said nine international service members and 10 civilian contractors were wounded in the latest attack, which occurred near a logistics base for US forces.
