Where the Ashes were won and lost
Updated on 09 July 2009
Channel 4 News kept a close eye on the 2009 Ashes series.
England's 2-1 victory proved comprehensively it is not enough for individual players to end a series with statistics they can be proud of.
Australia scored more runs, they claimed more wickets and their batsmen scored eight centuries between them while England only managed two.
