Tory PR role for ex-editor Coulson
Updated on 31 May 2007
Former News of the World editor Andy Coulson has been appointed to a senior public relations role with the Conservative Party.
Mr Coulson, who resigned from the Sunday tabloid in the wake of the royal phone-tapping scandal, is to be the Tories' director of communications and planning.
A former News International high-flier, Mr Coulson quit in January after one of his journalists was sentenced to four months in jail for hacking into messages on royal phones.
