Two men have been arrested at a university campus under the Terrorism Act.

Police said the men, aged 30 and 22, were arrested at the University of Nottingham on Wednesday morning.

One of the suspects is believed to be a student at the university while the other is a former student.

They were questioned by detectives while premises connected with the men were searched by police, including property on the university campus.

A police spokeswoman said the men were arrested as part of a joint operation between Nottinghamshire Police and the Midlands Counter-terrorist Unit.
