Shop worker killed by lone gunman

A shop worker was killed in a hail of bullets, police have said.

The 27-year-old was shot at least six times by a lone gunman while at work behind the counter at Brookhouse Wines supermarket in Salford, Manchester.

The victim, who has not yet been named, was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital where he died shortly after arriving.
