Endangered digital station BBC 6 Music has become a double winner at the radio industry's biggest awards event.

Former Pulp singer-turned-presenter Jarvis Cocker won the Rising Star Award at the Sony Radio Academy Awards 2010 for his Sunday afternoon show on the station, which has been earmarked for closure by the BBC.

And presenting duo Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish won the Best Comedy title for their Saturday morning Adam and Joe show at the ceremony staged at London's Grosvenor Hotel.
