An inquest into the death of Natasha Collins has heard she died after taking cocaine and sleeping tablets.

The 31-year-old children's TV presenter was the fiancée of fellow TV presenter Mark Speight.

She was found with hot water burns covering about 60 per cent of her body in the bath of their flat in St John's Wood, north-west London, on January 3.

Mr Speight, who presents the popular children's art show SMart, had been arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying Class A drugs.

However after consulting the Crown Prosecution Service the police decided not to press charges.

Westminster Coroner Dr Paul Knapman recorded a verdict of death by misadventure after noting that Miss Collins had a "very significant" amount of cocaine in her body at the time of death.
