The top eight players in the world are playing in the event at the O2, which is staging the prestigious event for the first time.

The finals are supposed to crown the best player of the year, but in reality the tournament is not as prestigious as the four annual Grand Slam events.

However, Murray reached the semi-finals last year and it is a chance for him to measure himself against his biggest rivals.

It is the first time the finals have been held in Britain and Murray will be guaranteed to have a passionate home crowd behind him.
