A woman is due in court accused of murdering her 11-year-old son.

James Taylor was found dead at his home in New Ash Green, near Dartford, Kent, earlier this month. It is not clear how he died.

His 44-year-old mother Jennifer Taylor will appear via video-link from HMP Elmley on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, for a preliminary hearing at Maidstone Crown Court.

She was taken to hospital following the incident and later charged by Kent Police.

An inquest into James's death will be opened at a later date.
