International Olympics inspectors have given London's preparations for the 2012 Games a glowing report.

Marking London's progress out of 10 at the end of the three-day inspection, Denis Oswald, chair of the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) co-ordination commission, said: "9.75 - nobody's perfect."

Mr Oswald said the IOC's 18-strong coordination commission had been treated to an "unprecedented" level of detail during a series of update presentations.
