Lessons examine domestic violence

Children could be taught about wife-beating in school under new proposals, it has been revealed.

Ministers are considering making lessons on domestic violence in relationships part of the National Curriculum.

It is likely to form part of lessons on Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE), which are taught to children as young as five, with teachers also being given new guidance on tackling "gender bullying".
