Huntley papers 'offered to tabloid'
Updated on 11 November 2009
A tabloid journalist has told how a man tried to sell him secret documents about inmates at a high security prison including child killer Ian Huntley.
Paul Capewell, 41, who worked at HMP Frankland in County Durham, is accused of smuggling out the confidential papers and giving them to his older brother John to sell.
At Newcastle Crown Court, he denies misconduct in public office while his brother denies aiding and abetting.
