The suspect in the murder of 16-year-old "gentle giant" Jimmy Mizen may have fled to Northern Cyprus, according to reports.

Scotland Yard has refused to comment on suggestions that an arrest warrant has been issued for a young Turkish man over the fatal slashing of the popular church-going student.

But if the suspect - believed to be 19 - has left the country, it could prove difficult for him to be questioned. Northern Cyprus currently has no extradition treaty with the UK.
