Flood victims homeless two years on
Updated on 21 April 2009
Hundreds of families hit by Britain's summer floods of 2007 are still unable to move back into their old homes, latest figures have revealed.
Of the 17,000 households forced to leave their houses almost two years ago, more than 350 are still living in temporary accommodation, caravan or on the top floor of their home.
Statistics provided by local authorities showed that residents of Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and Doncaster were the most severely affected, with 83 people still not back at home in Hull, 77 in the East Riding and 39 in Doncaster.
