Hello and welcome to the Morning Report. It's Friday 29th of June, I'm Kirsten Smith.

* Deliveries grind to a halt as the first Royal Mail strike in more than a decade begins.

* As the firebrigade says it's ill-equipped to deal with the floods - the Met warns more severe weather is on its way

* Another false lead for the McCanns - Spanish police say two people arrested have no connection with Madeleine's disappearance.

* TV quiz shows face a fresh blow as the Gambling Commission threatens to step in

* And in sport, Tim Henman launches an extraordinary broadside at British Tennis

The weather: Rain over England and Wales, clearing South East later. Sunny spells and showers for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Temperatures around 15 degrees C.
