A police officer involved in a high-speed pursuit which left three people dead "did everything correctly", the police watchdog said.

Christopher Morrison, 23, from Middleton, Manchester, Cassie Fox, 19, from Monsall, also in Manchester, and 30-year-old Paul Bunting died after the Vauxhall Vectra they were travelling in struck a garden wall in Oldham shortly after 3.30am on Sunday.

An 18-year-old girl in the car survived the crash and remains in a critical condition in Manchester's Hope Hospital.
