A three-year-old child has died and four other youngsters are critically ill after their parents' 4x4 crashed into a river.

Lincolnshire Police said nine members of the same family were all injured when the Land Rover crashed into the River Witham at Tattershall Bridge, near Coningsby.

A police spokesman confirmed that the youngest of seven children inside the car had died at Lincoln County Hospital.
