We have all been urged to fly less and drive less to slow down climate change, but today Paul McCartney joined Yoko Ono to urge people to go vegetarian once a week to help save the planet.
 
The "Meat-free Monday" campaign is based on a United Nations report which shows that meat production accounts for a fifth of all greenhouse gas emissions, a figure far higher than the transport industry.
