The collision happened on the A379 in Modbury in Devon at 11.30am.

The air ambulance flew a number of the injured to hospital.

An ambulance service spokesman said the driver of the van, who has not been identified, died at the scene.

A police spokesman said the extent of the injuries to the six bus passengers was not yet known.
