Death crash driver 'had conviction'
Updated on 09 March 2008
The driver of a car involved in a crash which left seven people dead and two children fighting for their lives was a convicted drink-driver, it is believed.
Jason Brain, 35, was killed along with his three passengers as he attempted to overtake another car in the Cotswolds.
According to reports on Sky News, he received a five-year driving ban and was given two years' probation after a drink drive conviction in 2001. He also admitted driving without due care and attention, driving with no insurance and failing to stop after an accident.
