More4 News heard the distinctive sound of Lancaster bombers as once again they flew across the Peak District , 65 years after the aircraft mounted thei Dambusters mission.
Hundreds of onlookers came out to watch the special flypast, many humming that much-loved anthem "Naaaa na na, na na-na naaa naa".
But the surviving men who took part in the World War Two bombing missions are still fighting a campaign for their own medal because of political reluctance to reward the mission that killed hundreds of civilians.
