Concern for disabled man's safety

Updated on 22 April 2008

By Darshna Soni

Police are concerned over the whereabouts of James Wardle, the son of Heather Wardle, whose body was found last night.

Police say they are "extremely concerned" for the safety of a 22-year-old disabled man whose mother has been found dead in Worcestershire.

Heather Wardle went missing on the way to visit a friend in Redditch on Friday. Her body was discovered last night.

But officers say it is not clear when her son James, who has the mental age of an 18-month-old, disappeared.

They are now trying to build up a picture of the pair's movements over the past few months.
