Clegg in warning of 'economic 9/11'

The global financial crisis may turn out to be an "economic 9/11", Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg said.

And he warned that extremists may find sympathy among groups who felt themselves victims of "economic injustice".

Mr Clegg, speaking to the Institute for Public Policy Research in London, said: "In our world, economic strength is power. We do not yet know, when the dust settles from this crisis, where the power will lie.
