Boy, 16, charged with Lyle murder

A teenager has been charged with the murder of a 15-year-old boy stabbed to death in south London.

Lyle Tulloch, 15, from Peckham, south London, was killed on the stairway of a block of flats in Southwark on Saturday.

A 16-year-old boy from Deptford, southeast London, will appear at Sutton Magistrates Court on Friday.

A 17-year-old appeared at the same court on Wednesday also accused of the murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on August 13.

Police were called to Newall House in Harper Road at about 1.40am on Saturday.

The 15-year-old was found dead at the scene. A post mortem gave the cause of death as stab wounds.

Two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old arrested in connection with his death have been released on police bail.

Lyle was the 12th teenager to be murdered in the capital this year.
