Bid to claw back canoe pair's cash
Updated on 11 November 2009
Prosecutors are set to try to claw back some of the cash fraudsters John and Anne Darwin made from their £250,000 faked death scam.
The married couple, who conned insurance companies after they staged John's death in a fake canoeing accident, could see the assets confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
A two-day hearing is being held at Leeds Crown Court before Mr Justice Wilkie, who presided over the Darwin trial last year.
