Arsene Wenger says his side's game with Manchester United has taken on added significance after their recent poor form.
The Gunners are six points off top spot after a defeat at Stoke and a draw at home to Tottenham, and face champions Manchester United at the Emirates on Saturday.
Speaking after his side's 0-0 draw at home to Fenerbahce last night, Wenger said: "It is a massive game, with massive importance to us.
"Manchester United versus Arsenal is always a special one for us. It is vital that we do well in the big games now."
The Arsenal boss blamed the hectic Premiership schedule for his side's inability to win last night.
He said: "We created the chances in the first half; we had three or four clear cut chances.
"In the second half we dropped physically and from then on we were less dangerous.
"Because we didn't score they didn't really come out - and we weren't sharp enough in the second half to get our strikers into good positions. That meant it was 0-0.
"If you look at the English teams, none of them had lost in the Champions League until this week - and this week none of them have won.
"Last week everyone put a lot in to their Premiership games and had less resources for the Champions League."
