Former England captain Bryan Robson has been relieved of first team duties at Sheffield United, according to reports today.
The 51-year-old had been in discussions with Terry Robinson, the club chairman, and Kevin McCabe, the plc chairman, in Brussels this week.
The talks follow protests from fans after the Blades' nil-nil draw with ten-men Scunthorpe on Saturday.
Robson said after the match that he retained support "both within the club and outside" - but according to reports from BBC Sheffield such claims now seem ill-founded.
It is understood that Robson will no longer be in charge of first team affairs at the Yorkshire club.
Robson, 51, took charge in May after the departure of Neil Warnock.
Sheffield United were expected to challenge for promotion this season, but currently sit closer to the relegation zone than the play offs.
