Protests continue to mar the Olympic torch's journey but the International Olympic Committee insists the games will be a success.
The IOC's optimism comes despite the constant scenes of disruption during the torch's journey and calls for world leaders to boycott the opening ceremony.
The latest flashpoint of the troubles is Buenos Aires where the flame is tonight, and it must even go through Tibet, the IOC has told Channel 4 News.
Meanwhile China's hit back at critics of its crackdown in Tibet, releasing pictures which it claims show monks and civilians rioting in the Chinese province of Gansu.
