Is this the end of the road for the round-the-world torch relay?
The International Olympic Committee confirmed today it will consider the future of the flame's journey at a meeting later this week. This follows a series of farcical runs in the past few days have seen the Olympic symbol snatched at, fought over and snuffed out.
Further protests expected
It's now arrived in San Francisco, where more protests are expected tomorrow. Already, protestors have been scaling up the Golden Gate Bridge - and that was before the torch had even landed.
Security is tight for the six- kilometre parade today. A 14-year-old torchbearer dropped out as she didn't think it would be safe.
