Ohuruogu: I'm no drugs cheat

By Samira Ahmed

Updated on 30 August 2007

Britain's newest world chamption, Christine Ohuruogu, insists she is innocent of drug abuse.

She has returned from a one-year ban imposed by UK Athletics under a controversial "three strikes and you're out" rule, for missing three random drugs tests.

This has meant a life ban imposed under British Olympic Association rules.

Ms Ohuruogu is "very upset and very disappointed" by the mixed reaction to her gold medal win in the 400 metres world championship in Osaka last night.

Her supporters say the system is at fault. So what happens now?
