Malaysians warned over torch protest

A thousand police officers are deployed in Kuala Lumpur to prevent any disruption to the Olympic torch parade, amid warnings that anyone who tries to protest will be arrested.

But as well as demonstrations in support of Tibet, pro-Chinese nationalism is also spreading.

After clashes with torch bearers in the Paris stage of the relay, there have been protests across China against a French supermarket chain, demanding a boycott of its goods.
