Best pictures on a dramatic night of football as Manchester United pip Chelsea to win the Champions League.
Manchester United won the European Cup for the third time in their history last night beating Chelsea on penalties in Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium.
Nicolas Anelka saw his penalty, Chelsea's seventh, saved by Edwin Van Der Sar. It followed a miss by John Terry, Chelsea's captain and arguably the man of the match.
If Terry had scored, Chelsea would have won the trophy after Cristiano Ronaldo - a scorer in normal time - had seen his own penalty saved by Chelsea keeper Petr Cech.
On the cusp of half time Frank Lampard had levelled things up for Chelsea following Ronaldo's opener.
