Everton draw Standard Liege

Everton have been drawn in the Uefa Cup against Standard Liege - the team that almost sent Liverpool crashing out of the Champions League qualifiers.

Manchester City will play Cypriot team AC Omonia and Motherwell have been drawn against French club Nancy. Aston Villa meet Bugarian team PFC Litex Lovech.

Portsmouth clash with Portuguese team Vitoria SC and St Patrick's Athletic have a tricky tussle with Hertha Berlin.

Italians Sampdoria will play Lithuanian champions Kaunas, who recently defeated Glasgow Rangers.

In other clashes, Dinamo Zagreb have been drawn with Sparta Prague and Sevilla will play FC Salzburg from Austria.

European giants AC Milan, the first name out of the hat, will face FC Zurich.
