Everton chief executive Keith Wyness is convinced manager David Moyes will sign a new contract with the club.

Moyes's current deal runs out at the end of next season but Wyness and chairman Bill Kenwright are keen to keep him at Goodison Park after six years in charge.

Wyness said: "Bill and David have been deep in talks for some months.

"Those talks are going fine, there is absolutely no problem there at all.

"We are sure that everythng is going to work out fine."

Moyes joined Everton in 2002 after a successful spell as manager of Preston North End.

He has since been named Manager of the Year by the League Managers' Association on two occasions, in 2003 and 2005.
