Unsettled Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is reported to want showdown talks with Blues boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.

The dramatic move is said to have come after the Stamford Bridge manager rejected a swap deal with Barcelona involving Drogba and striker Samuel Eto'o.

The Ivory Coast striker was chasing a move to Milan at the beginning of the summer but appeared to be having second thoughts following the arrival of the charismatic Scolari.

New Barca coach Josep Guardiola is reported to have told Eto'o he has no future at the Nou Camp and the Catalans are desperate to see the back of him.

The La Liga outfit were hoping Scolari would be interested in a swap deal but the Brazilian did not take the bait.

Drogba has three years remaining on his contract and has been battling a knee injury for more than a year.

Barca were thought to be willing to offer the 30-year-old a two-year contract at £100,000 a week, a £15,000 improvement on his current deal.
