By Channel 4 News

Updated on 09 April 2008

An exclusive Channel 4 News poll reveals two thirds of the British public - 66 per cent - think the torch relay has damaged China.

And nearly half think the relay has damaged the Olympic brand itself.

The survey, conducted using an online interview over the last two days, also revealed that nearly half - 47 per cent - of British adults believed this year's torch relay should continue. 43 per cent believed it should be discontinued.

More than two thirds also felt the torch relay should take place again in 2012.
