Birmingham and Sunderland go up
Updated on 29 April 2007
Birmingham City and Sunderland have been promoted to the Premiership thanks to Crystal Palace's 2-0 win over Derby.
Former Birmingham striker Clinton Morrison opened the scoring at Selhurst Park and Mark Kennedy added a second after the break, ending Derby chances of claiming an automatic promotion spot.
Derby will enter the play-offs instead, along with three teams from a group of six that consists of West Brom, Wolves, Southampton, Stoke, Preston and Colchester.
Birmingham and Sunderland both return to the top flight a year after they were relegated.
They are still fighting for the Championship title, with the Blues one point ahead going into the final match.
Birmingham go to Preston on the final day of the season while Sunderland face a trip to relegated Luton Town.
