Arsenal and Liverpool have made changes ahead of their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Reds boss Rafael Benitez made eight alterations to his team, handing a debut to French youngster Damien Plessis with England striker Peter Crouch back in attack.

Captain Steven Gerrard was on the bench along with leading scorer Fernando Torres as only goalkeeper Pepe Reina, Jamie Carragher and Martin Skrtel retained their places.

The Gunners were also much changed for the teams' second clash in six days.

Wenger called in midfielder Gilberto, Nicklas Bendtner, Armand Traore, Justin Hoyte and Theo Walcott.

Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who scored in the 1-1 draw in the Champions League clash between the same sides on Wednesday night, was among the substitutes.
