Williams unrepentant over sharia

The archbishop of Canterbury takes full responsibility for any "lack of clarity" in his comments on sharia law.
Dr Rowan Williams has acknowledged that a misleading choice of words might have caused some distress and misunderstanding.
But he told the General Synod that it hadn't been inappropriate to bring the issue into the public debate.
In contrast to the hostile reaction he faced over the weekend, Dr Williams got a standing ovation from the synod.
