Do you see a Muslim woman as a shy, retiring wallflower hiding behind her headscarf? Or a street-fighting warrior?
The latter image is that of the Ninjabis - women attending the first self-defence class in Britain catering specifically for Muslim women.
The organisers say the women want to fight back against a rising number of anti-Muslim attacks.
And they're right to be concerned. According to the Home Office violent racist offences rose last year.
But ethnic minorities have embraced forms of self-defence for decades in order to protect themselves and their communities.
