Eight mosques are slugging it out to become Britain's finest mosque.

The twist? It's all televised in a reality TV format.

There are text votes and a judging panel, complete with a prime-time slot on The Islam Channel.

The programme's producers say they hope the show will help dispel fears non-Muslims have about mosques.
