Finding a place to pray should not be difficult if you're a follower of Europe's fastest growing religion: Islam.

But in many parts of mainland Europe - including Italy and Germany - planning applications for mosques are being turned down on a regular basis.

And in Switzerland, one political party is pressing for a referendum to prevent the construction of minarets.

Helene Cacace reports from Switzerland about the row brewing over religious symbolism.
