'Pills killed Madeleine' - claim

A French newspaper alleges Madeleine McCann might have died from a sleeping pill overdose.

Kate and Gerry McCann met their lawyer this morning to discuss the continuing Portuguese police investigation into their missing daughter Madeleine.

Their discussions came as a French newspaper, France Soir, quoting unnamed sources, alleged that toxicological tests suggest the young girl might have overdosed on sleeping tablets.
