Not a black and white issue

Are some councils fostering division by allowing the separate use of facilities for ethnic or religious groups?
What would you think if you saw a sign saying "Whites only badminton"? Smacks of apartheid, doesn't it?
But is a black-only session OK? And what about swimming sessions reserved for Muslim men or orthodox Jewish women?
This weekend the head of the Equality Commission, Trevor Phillips, warned of a "cold war" in which "very separate communities exist side by side... with poor communication across ethnic or religious lines".
More4 News has been looking at whether a small number of councils, by allowing or encouraging separate use of facilities, could be fostering division.
