Italian troops begin moving rubbish after violent clashes over plans for waste disposal in Naples.

Italian troops have begun moving mountains of rubbish from schools and streets around Naples, after violent clashes between police and residents protesting over plans to reopen a waste dump in their neighbourhood.

Italy's prime minister has now held emergency talks in an effort to resolve the crisis, which has dragged on for weeks.
