Italian troops have begun moving mountains of rubbish from schools and streets around Naples, after violent clashes between police and residents protesting over plans to reopen a waste dump in their neighbourhood.
Italy's prime minister has now held emergency talks in an effort to resolve the crisis, which has dragged on for weeks.
