Wright 'had sex' with four victims

By Andy Davies

Updated on 17 January 2008

The man accused of killing five women around Ipswich has admitted he had sex with four of the victims.

The world may never know why Steve Wright killed five young women in the space of a few weeks - prosecutors have claimed. But they told his trial at Ipswich Crown Court it was 'certain' that he had murdered them all.

The prosecution said Wright's DNA and other material evidence linked him to all five women.

But Wright's defence lawyer said although he admitted having sex with four of the women - he denied all charges of murder.

Our home affairs correspondent Andy Davies was in court.
