Potential witness to Rhys murder

A potential new witness to the murder of 11-year-old Rhys Jones has come forward after a Crimewatch reconstruction.
The man said he was in the car park of the Fir Tree pub in Croxteth, Liverpool, when the youngster was shot on 22 August 2007.

Crimewatch also renewed appeals for a woman in a red car to come forward as police believe she may have seen the killer.
Detectives are also looking for a boy, aged 13 or 14, who was outside the pub shortly before Rhys was gunned down.
The boy, who was riding a silver BMX bike, also attended a vigil at Croxteth Country Park on Sunday 2 September. He had fair hair and was wearing a white T-shirt and grey trousers.
The identity of the alleged killer has also been posted on the comment section of the You Tube website, despite police requests for it to be removed.

Positive response
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: "Merseyside Police has once again received a positive response from the public following last night's Crimewatch update appeal.
The investigation team will be following up a number of positive lines of inquiry, our officers will be in touch with all of the people who rang the programme today."
Last night, police also drove around Croxteth, close to the scene of Rhys' murder, and sent messages using Bluetooth technology to the mobile phones of passers by and motorists.
The messages included witness appeals, a picture of the youngster and the phone number of the incident room.
